“I would like to play a bit more” — Chukwueze desires for more game time at AC Milan

Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze has openly expressed his desire for more playing time with AC Milan, acknowledging that while individual ambitions are important, the team’s collective goals always take precedence.
Since his summer move from Villarreal in 2023, Chukwueze has found it difficult to secure a consistent starting spot with the Rossoneri.
Despite showing flashes of brilliance, the 25-year-old winger has struggled to establish himself as a regular, with only four goals in 47 Serie A appearances to date.
This season, Chukwueze has started just eight Serie A games but has been included in Milan’s matchday squad for 32 games across all competitions, contributing five goals and one assist.
He has made 23 league appearances, scoring three goals, as Milan pushes for a strong finish to the season.
However, the Nigerian winger has faced a significant challenge in terms of regularity, having been relegated to the bench for 11 consecutive Serie A matches.
Despite this, Chukwueze remains one of Serie A’s top dribblers and continues to be determined to contribute to Milan’s success.
“I would like to play a bit more, but the team comes first,” Chukwueze told DAZN. “A game in which the entire group wants to fight to win. We know the importance of the game, but also of the path we are taking and will take in the coming weeks.”
“The priority is the group and the solidity of our team, then obviously I would like to play a bit more, but the team comes first,” he added.
