John Ogu is confident that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has apologized for his public outburst against former Super Eagles coach Finidi George.
Osimhen previously made headlines by publicly criticizing Finidi George over an unverified report that quoted Finidi saying he wouldn’t beg anyone to play for the national team.
Ogu, who has known Osimhen since his under-17 days, described the forward as humble and respectful, emphasizing that Osimhen reacted out of frustration after being wrongly accused.
“I know Osimhen, even from his under-17 days, as a good boy who is very respectful, regardless of who you are,” Ogu told Fans Tribe.
“When someone accuses you of something unfairly, you may lose control. Some people need to speak their minds or they can’t sleep. He (Osimhen) did that. Has he apologized? I am sure he has.”
Osimhen has since moved on from the incident and returned to club activities with Napoli.
