Kano Pillars hit Abuja for closed door camping ahead of NNL campaign

Nigeria National League side Kano Pillars are embarking on a one-week closed door camping in Abuja after leaving their Kano base to the Capital territory on Wednesday 8, February 2023.
The four-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions suffered their first ever relegation from the topflight to the second division in 2022 and will be looking to bounce back instantly when the NNL season starts in March.
In a statement, acting chairman of the club, Dr. Ibrahim Galadima, the camping is part of the club preparations ahead of the forthcoming 2023 Nigeria National league expected to be kicked off next month.
The Pyramid side are scheduled to play three to four friendly matches, includiing the Nigeria U17.
Galadima has tasked the technical crew and players to focus on the ambitions of the club, especially a promotion to elite league at the end of the season as well a Federation Cup success.
“Apart from the Nigeria National League, we are expecting the team to do well in this year’s Federation Cup,” Galadima said.
The team traveled with thirty-five players and a technical crew led by technical Adviser Evans Ogenyi.
