NFF announces ₦50 million prize for 2025 President Federation Cup winners

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially announced the prize money for the winners and runners-up of the 2025 President Federation Cup across both the men’s and women’s categories.

In the men’s competition, newly crowned champions Kwara United received a record ₦50 million after securing their first-ever title. Runners-up Abakaliki FC earned ₦20 million for their efforts.

In the women’s category, Rivers Angels—who lifted their 10th Federation Cup title—were awarded ₦25 million, while Nasarawa Amazons, who narrowly lost in the final, received ₦10 million.

The NFF also handed out individual awards recognizing standout performances in the tournament:

Women’s Category

  • Most Valuable Player (MVP): Shola Shobowale (Nasarawa Amazons)

  • Top Scorer: Abasi Ofon Uwa (Ibom Angels)

  • Best Goalkeeper: Anderline Mgbechi (Rivers Angels)

Men’s Category

  • Most Valuable Player (MVP): Victor Okoye (Kwara United)

  • Top Scorer: Mercelle Akinocho (Beyond Limits)

  • Best Goalkeeper: Suraj Aiyeleso (Kwara United)

The NFF stated that the cash rewards and individual honors are part of ongoing efforts to incentivize excellence and growth in Nigerian domestic football.
