By Wale Mustapha

Promising Nigerian midfielder Papa Daniel is attracting serious interest from South Africa’s Premier Soccer League (PSL), with Stellenbosch FC reportedly leading the race for his signature.

Currently on the books of Niger Tornadoes in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Daniel has enjoyed a standout season, scoring three goals and providing three assists.

His impressive form earned him a recent invitation to the Super Eagles’ camp ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Sources close to the player reveal that Stellenbosch FC is prepared to offer the 21-year-old midfielder a monthly salary of ₦10 million in a deal that could see him move to the PSL next season.

Daniel had a stint earlier in the season on trial at Czech side MFK Karviná, and interest in his services has continued to grow with several clubs reportedly monitoring his progress.

With multiple offers on the table, the dynamic midfielder appears poised to make a move abroad in the near future, marking a significant step forward in his promising career.
