Nigeria forward Chinaza Uchendu scores in Gyeongju loss to Hwacheon

Nigeria midfielder, Chinaza Uchendu was on target as her South Korean WK League side, Gyeongju succumbed to a 3-2 loss against Hwacheon during a league encounter on Tuesday.
After Hosts Hwacheon stormed to a two-goal lead in the first half against Gyeongju. Natsuki Yoshimi opened the scoring in the tenth minute before Eun-ju Moon doubled the lead for the host ten minutes later.
In the 22nd minute, Uchendu pulled a goal back for Gyeongju off a cross from the left wing into the box that was headed into her path before her right-footed effort reached the bottom right corner.
Jun-Eun Lee restored the host’s two-goal lead three minutes into the second half. Jung Ji-Yeon own goal in the 51st minute made the scoreline 3-2.
The loss ended Gyeongju’s four-match unbeaten run as the team occupy the fourth position on the log with 32 points after 19 games ahead of their next league encounter with third-placed Incheon Hyundai Steel on August 25.
Uchendu has scored three league goals for her team this season. She recently emerged the top goal scorer of the South Korean Cup, scoring five goals as her team reached the semi-final of the tournament.
