Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has been urged to take the number 9 shirt at Manchester United amid transfer links.
The Napoli striker is being lured by his compatriot in the music industry, Charles Chibueze Chukwu, better known by his stage name Crayon.
The ‘Ijo Labalaba’ star is one of Nigerian music celebrities who openly support the Red Devils and the Nigerian Afropop musician has now challenged his countryman, Osimhen to come and claim the United’s number 9 shirt which was last wore by Romelu Lukaku.
The 24-year-old has been strongly linked with a transfer to Manchester United to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the team in November of last year.
The Super Eagles striker currently leads the top scorer chart in Serie A with 13 goals for Napoli and United may be prepared to pay a record-breaking sum to sign the player.
The English club are on the strong hunt to sign an attacker, and Crayon is among many fans who has turned to scouting agent online urging the striker to sign for the Red Devils after quoting a picture uploaded by Osimhen on Twitter
“Howfa my bro! Osi nlaaaa! Man U dey find you!!! Abeg come Man U this summer after you win serie A ! Come collect big 9!!!,” he wrote in pidgin English.
Osimhen replied “Crayway!!! Omo ope”.
The Manchester-based club has however been reported to be lining up Tottenham’s Harry Kane as an alternative for Osimhen if the deal doesn’t fall through.
