Abia Warriors striker Antoine Desouza has been named the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Player of the Month for February, while Bendel Insurance’s Greg Ikhenoba has won the Coach of the Month award.
Desouza, who scored three goals in four league matches for Abia Warriors, emerged victorious in the Player of the Month category, edging out competitors like Kingsley Maduforo of Enugu Rangers, Remo Stars’ Sikiru Alimi, and others.
Meanwhile, Ikhenoba claimed the Manager of the Month award after guiding Bendel Insurance to five wins, one draw, and one loss in seven games during February.
He beat other nominees including Daniel Ogunmodede of Remo Stars and Fidelis Ilechukwu of Enugu Rangers to take home the prestigious honor.
Ikhenoba will look to extend his team’s impressive form when Bendel Insurance face Abia Warriors in an upcoming match on Sunday in Umuahia.
