Kennedy Boboye, the Technical Adviser of Sunshine Stars, expressed satisfaction with his players’ flawless execution of the game plan, which led to a commanding 3-1 victory over Plateau United on Saturday.

The Owena Whales dominated Plateau United at the Akure Township Stadium, securing the win with braces from Sodiq Ibrahim and Ibrahim Yusuf, while Albert Hilary’s goal for the Tin City side served as a consolation.

Boboye, delighted with the team’s performance, asserted that Sunshine Stars were the superior side and deserved the victory. He urged his players to maintain the same level of determination in upcoming matches.

“It was an interesting game for us all. I’m glad we won convincingly, and I must commend my players for doing a fantastic and great job. We played a good team, but the better side won,” Boboye remarked.

The victory propelled Sunshine Stars to 12th place in the NPFL standings, with 30 points garnered from 24 games. Looking ahead, they aim to build on this success when they face Katsina United on Wednesday in Akure.
