Thierry Henry challenges Napoli star Victor Osimhen ahead of Barcelona clash

Arsenal’s record goalscorer Thierry Henry has called on Victor Osimhen to replicate his 2022/23 Napoli season.
The 25-year-old netted an equalizer in the Partenopei’s 1-1 Champions League draw with Henry’s former side Barcelona.
The Super Eagles star had not scored for Napoli since December 16 against Cagliari, and Wednesday’s strike was the forward’s first in over a month, having gone six games without finding the back of the net at the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria.
With his goal, the Partenopei head into the March 12 return leg at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Company, level in the tie as opposed to aiming to turn around a deficit.
Henry revealed that he would love to see the Nigerian international repeat his great form every year.
“At the AFCON, we saw he can lead the line, he runs into the channels, he can hold the ball, and he is clever to understand how to roll defenders, I do think that he needed that goal,” speaking as a pundit on the CBS Sports Champions League program.
“How good can he be? He showed last year what he could do, he won African Player of the Year along the way winning what he won with Napoli, even though he did not win the final against Ivory Coast with Nigeria.
“I would like to see what he can do in the Prem (Premier League) or Paris-Saint Germain. I don’t know where he is going to go, but I want to see him doing it every year.
“He did what he did to win the title at Napoli after the big man Diego Armando Maradona and it is something that will stay forever in history. All the best to you in your career.”
