Trabzonspor’s Unbeaten Streak Holds Firm as Onazi Shines in 2-2 Draw Against Konyaspor

In a compelling display of skill and resilience, Trabzonspor, led by the midfield prowess of Ogenyi Onazi, secured a 2-2 away draw against Konyaspor, maintaining their unblemished record in the Turkish top flight on Sunday.

Onazi, a standout performer, commenced the game and showcased his mettle before being substituted on the 80th minute mark, marking his 13th league appearance this season, with a notable goal to his credit.

The match, characterized by intensity and drama, witnessed red cards for both sides, with Ali Turan of Konyaspor and Tomas Hubocan of Trabzonspor receiving their marching orders.

Trabzonspor’s resilience shone brightly as they extended their unbeaten streak to nine league games, comprising six victories and three draws. Despite Konyaspor being reduced to 10 men after Turan’s dismissal in the 18th minute, they managed to seize the lead with Deni Milosevic finding the net in the 77th minute.

A late-game turnaround saw Trabzonspor edge ahead with two goals from Burak Yilmaz, a penalty in the 83rd minute and a decisive strike in the 90th minute, putting them on the brink of a 2-1 victory. However, the intricacies of football unfolded in the final moments, as Trabzonspor’s Hubocan saw red in the 93rd minute, and Orkan Cinar equalized for Konyaspor in the 94th minute, culminating in a 2-2 draw.

Trabzonspor, currently occupying the sixth position with 30 points, remains six points behind the league leaders, Fenerbahce, as they continue their quest for Turkish football supremacy.
