Atalanta coach, Gian Gasperini has dismissed a possible January transfer move for star forward, Ademola Lookman.
The Nigeria playmaker was ranked in the 14th position in the Ballon d’or ceremony on Monday night which was eventually won by Manchester City holding midfielder, Rodri.
Gasperini revealed Lookman was tempted to leave the Bergamo City in the summer which failed to materialize.
He, however, believes the best decision for the Super Eagles forward is to remain at Atalanta beyond the January transfer window.
“Lookman tempted in the summer by PSG? No, it was not a good moment,” Gasperini was quoted by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“ And who knows, maybe certain hypotheses will recur, hopefully not in January. But in the meantime, now, it is only important that he is ‘inside’ the team.”
Fourth placed Atalanta will face Monza in their next Serie A game on Wednesday, October 30.
