U23 Afcon Qualifier: Nigeria battle Guinea in final round after Tanzania triumph

Nigeria will play against Guinea in the final round of the 2023 U23 African Nations Cup to be hosted by Morocco.
Nigeria beat Tanzania 3-1 on aggregate after a 2-0 second leg win at the Lekan Salami stadium Ibadan on Saturday.
The first leg last weekend in Dar es Sallam had ended in 1-1 draw as Tanzania came from behind to level the scoreline to extend their hope of qualifying for the last round.
Nigeria next opponents, Guinea walked over Uganda to face the 2015 African champions. The first leg will see the Dream Team playing at home before the decider in Guinea.
Winners between Nigeria and Guinea will qualify for the 2023 U23 African Nations Cup in Morocco which also serves as 2024 Olympics qualifier.
The Total Africa U-23 Cup of Nations (known as the CAF U-23 Championship until 2015) is the main international football competition for CAF nations, played by under 23 years old players.
It is held every four years with the top three teams qualifying to the Olympic Games and current champions, Egypt, Nigeria and Gabon are past winners.
