Vera Samuel, and Rose Ekong, earn NWFL Team of the Week recognition

Bayelsa Queens midfielder Vera Samuel made Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Matchday four Team of the Week.

The former Delta Queens player is making the cut for third successive week.

She has scored two goals with an assist after four league games for the Prosperity Girls.

Samuel opened scoring for the Yenegoa-based side during a 3-0 win against Adamawa Queens on Wednesday.

Her teammate, Rose Ekong also made the team of the week.

Bayelsa Queens coach Ogbonda Whyte was named the coach of the week.

Three Remo Stars Ladies players, Akudo Ogbonna, Bolaji Olamide, and Kafayat Bashiru dominate the team.

Rivers Angels and Nasarawa Amazons have two players each on the team.

They are Andeline Mgbechi and Otubo Patience from the Jewels of Rivers while Esther Adesoji and Kesiena Ojiyovwi from the Solid Babes.

Omotoke Ogunfuwa (Dannaz Ladies) and Mary Lucky (Abia Angels) complete the team.
