Former Chelsea defender, Jason Cundy, believes that Nigeria-eligible star, Michael Olise is too good to remain at Selhurst Park.
The 21-year-old —who is still eligible to play international football for Nigeria, Algeria, England, and France —has been on the radar of some of England’s biggest teams, with Chelsea leading the race for his signature.
The talented youngster has scored four goals and assisted another in his last four Premier League matches for Crystal Palace.
He recently penned a four-year deal with the Eagles and could represent the Super Eagles in the future after scoring five goals and assisting one in nine matches for Crystal Palace this season.
However, Cundy believes with his current form he could walk into any top team in the league including the defending champions’ side led by Pep Guardiola.
“I want to talk about Michael Olise at Crystal Palace,” Cundy told the talkSport Breakfast.
“That kid, for me, I think he can go into any team in the Premier League right now, including Manchester City.
“Palace fans won’t thank me for saying this but this kid is going to the very top. He is too good for Palace.
“Chelsea, apparently, nearly signed him in the summer, didn’t happen, (they) signed Cole Palmer instead -that’s been a pretty good move for him, by the way.”
