Euro2024: Asisat Oshoala in awe of Lamine Yamal’s wonder goal

By Monsurah Olatunji
Former Barcelona star, Asisat Oshoala, has showered praises on Lamine Yamal for his incredible performance in the Euro semifinal clash against France.
Spain came from behind to beat France 2-1, securing their place in the final thanks to goals from teenage sensation Yamal and Dani Olmo. Randal Kolo Muani had given Les Bleus an early lead, but Yamal leveled the score in the 21st minute.
The youngster cut in from the right side of the pitch, outmaneuvered Adrien Rabiot and Lucas Hernandez, and sent a wicked curler that hit the upright and went into the net.
The Nigeria international, who spent five years with Barcelona, knows a thing or two about producing moments of magic on the biggest stages. The Super Falcons striker couldn’t hide her excitement and respect for the 16-year-old prospect.
The 29-year-old has a soft spot for Yamal not only because he is a Barcelona player but also due to his immense potential. She applauded the stunning, match-defining goal scored by the Spanish teenager.
“YAMAAALLLLL ….this kid is special,” the Super Falcons star posted on her X.
