Kwara United’s profligacy frustrates Azeez Mohammed after Enyimba thrashing

By Wale Mustapha
Technical Adviser of Kwara United, Azeez Mohammed has expressed concern over his side’s worst start to new Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL season following a 3-0 defeat to Enyimba on Sunday.
The Harmony Boys were condemned to their second consecutive defeats by goals from Emeka Obioma and debut goal from Adebola Adebambo at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.
A disappointed Mohammed who expressed worries with his team’s performances, is upbeat about a turnaround in the club’s fortunes in coming games, while keeping mum over his future with the Ilorin based outfit.
“Its painful we lost another game and it is expected I should be worried, we are all worried about it,” Mohammed said.
”As you can see, we gave a good fight and played a good game too but we lost to a better side who created chances and used it adequately but on our part we couldn’t convert our chances and paid dearly for it.
“We will keep working as a team, with other games but due to the nature of the league this season, every game counts but it’s not over yet I’m confident we will get it right if we correct our mistakes.”
Kwara United will host Akwa United on adopted home ground at the Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan on Thursday.
