By Saheed Afolabi
Technical Adviser of Rivers United, Stanley Eguma is proud of the quality of teams in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Super Six Championship.
The Pride of Port-Harcourt, Lobi Stars, Enyimba International, Remo Stars, Sunshine Stars and Bendel Insurance are the six teams competing for the NPL title.
Eguma feels the Super Six Championship will enable the best three teams to represent Nigeria at the CAF continental competitions.
“This competition is a very good avenue to know the best teams to represent Nigeria on the continent next season,” the Rivers manager told Complete Sports.
“Without any form of sentiment Nigerians have already seen the quality in teams that can represent them in the CAF club competitions next season.”
The Rivers United tactician is confident, the best three clubs in the NPL will represent the country well because they got it on merit and hard work.
“I am confident in any of our teams that will make it to the top three of the playoff to do well on the continental stage.”
Eguma is leading Rivers United chase for a title defense at the NPL Super Six Championship as they face the invincible Bendel Insurance on Friday June eight at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
