BabaGanaru applauds Akwa United’s performance in Kano Pillars triumph

Mohammed BabaGanaru, the Head Coach of Akwa United, expressed admiration for his team’s mentality and approach in their remarkable 3-0 triumph over Kano Pillars during the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter on Sunday.

The Promise Keepers displayed resilience and determination as they secured a crucial victory over their opponents from the Pyramid city. Captain Ubong Friday contributed two goals, while Said Mubarak added another to seal the convincing win for the hosts.

BabaGanaru underscored the significance of the victory in Akwa United’s fight against relegation, highlighting the meticulous planning and execution by his players.

“It’s gratifying to secure the much-needed victory,” BabaGanaru remarked in a post-match interview.

“Following our defeat to Kwara United away from home, we regrouped and devised a strategy to win this game. I’m grateful that our plans materialized as intended.”

With six matches remaining in the season, BabaGanaru emphasized the importance of maintaining the current level of performance to secure their position in the league table. He expressed optimism about the team’s progress, citing encouraging signs of improvement.

Akwa United currently sits in 16th place on the log with 37 points from 32 games. As they continue their campaign, BabaGanaru and his squad are determined to build on this victory and secure their status in the league for the upcoming season.
