Carabao Cup: Fulham win over Norwich City excites Alex Iwobi

Nigeria midfielder, Alex Iwobi is delighted with Fulham 2-1 win against Norwich City in the Carabao Cup fixture.

The Super Eagles midfield maestro teamed up with the Cottagers in the summer from Everton and has been a mainstay in the first team settings.

Iwobi stormed up to give Fulham the winner in the 72nd minute which sealed their passage to the next round of the Carabao Cup.

The Super Eagles midfielder was glad with the win and appreciated the support shown to the team by the fans.

“That felt good. Through to the next round! Love for the support,” Iwobi quoted by Brace Radio.

Fulham took the lead from a great strike from Carlos Vinicius in the 12th minute.

Iwobi doubled the Cottagers advantage with a sumptuous goal in the 72nd minute before Norwich City pulled a goal back in the 75th minute through Borja Sainz.

The Cottagers will host Chelsea at the 24,500 capacity Craven Cottage stadium in their next encounter on October second 2023.
