Nigeria midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru says he’s ready to succeed in Italian football despite the difficulties he earlier had in adapting to life in the country.
The Super Eagles international teamed up with Serie A side from Hatayspor in the summer with huge expectations placed on his shoulders.
Dele-Bashiru admitted that Italian football is highly tactical and he has allayed his earlier challenges at the club and he’s ready to fulfill his prospects.
He hopes to have a great debut season in Italy amidst a supportive environment.
.“Italian football is very tactical, this is the biggest challenge. My favourite role is as a number 8 or 10,” Dele-Bashiru was quoted by Lazio.
“I am ready to play and make the fans happy. I had some problems at the beginning of the season, but now I am better, and I am understanding what the coach wants.
“The training I received at Manchester City was very good, and Turkish football taught me a lot.
“I know I’ll need to adapt to Serie A, but I’ve found a very supportive environment here, and I hope we can have a great season.”
Dele-Bashiru is in line to make his Serie A debut for Lazio against Venezia on Sunday.
