Gift Monday dedicates goal against Sevilla to Granadilla Tenerife fans

Nigeria international Gift Monday has expressed her excitement after find the back of the net for Granadilla Tenerife in a 3-1 victory over Toni Payne’s Sevilla on Sunday.
The Super Falcons forward is gradually regaining her exploit with her third goal of the season plus an assist in her side’s final home match triumph at the Estadio Francisco Suárez, Granadilla de Abona Stadium.
The 21-year-old refused to take all the glories as she credited the fans for their support and encouragement so far.
“I feel very happy and very grateful to the fans for their support to date. It has been something immense,” Monday told NigeriaFootball.ng.
“I came in and I didn’t expect to score, but it happened. I felt the spirit of the fans on me, and I’m very happy.”
UDG Tenerife seat in the sixth position of the Spanish Liga F with 40 points from 29 matches and behind league champions, Barcelona by a whopping 45 points.
Athletico Madrid will host UDG Tenerife in their last match of the season which will see two former Robo Queens stars in Rasheedat Ajibade and Gift Monday go head to head on May 19.
