Raphael Onyedika thrilled with UEFA Champions League experience

Nigeria midfielder Raphael Onyedika has expressed his excitement at making his mark in the UEFA Champions League, reflecting on the valuable experience gained from competing in Europe’s most prestigious club competition.

The Club Brugge holding midfielder has been in outstanding form for his Belgian side, delivering solid performances in the Champions League.

Onyedika is relishing the exposure the competition provides, noting the immense opportunities it offers for players to showcase their talents on a global stage.

“It’s a competition that almost every player dreams of playing in, and it gives you the chance to show what you can do against top teams and top players,” Onyedika told the NFF. “It’s like a dream come true.”

While the Nigerian was disappointed by the red card he received in the match against AC Milan, he remains undeterred, emphasizing that such moments are part of the game and will not define his season.

“Of course, the red card against AC Milan was unfortunate, but sometimes these things happen, and there’s nothing you can do about it. It’s part of the game,” he added.

“Despite that, playing in the Champions League has been one of my proudest moments.”

Currently, Club Brugge are 22nd in the UEFA Champions League standings, with seven points from five matches. Despite the challenges, Onyedika is focused on continuing to learn and grow from the experience.
