The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) referees development committee have wielded their big hammer on erring referees in the domestic league.
The suspension was in line of the referees abysmal performance in trying to bring the game to disrepute.
The encounter between Ikorodu City FC and FC One Rocket saw some incriminate calls from the center referee and assistant referee which called for their suspension.
In a statement from the NNL body, the affected referees will be stepped down from the league till further notice.
The Nigeria second tier league body had earlier suspended four referees in November over their stark calls and unprofessionalism.
The chief operating officer of the NNL, Dr Ayo Abdulrahman stated the league’s body won’t turn a deaf hear to the series of allegations and unprofessionalism in the league.
He further revealed that there are plans to monitor the league matches to ensure smooth running of the league and make sure officiating are in accordance of the laws of the game.
