NPFL: Jonas Emmanuel urges Niger Tornadoes to give all vs his former club Heartland

Niger Tornadoes forward Jonas Emmanuel has urged his teammates to raise their game as they prepare for their upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday Five encounter against Heartland FC on Sunday.

The Ikon Allah Boys, who are unbeaten so far this season, are looking to extend their impressive away form when they face the Naze Millionaires in Owerri.

Tornadoes have secured two away victories and drawn twice at home, while Heartland are still searching for their first win of the campaign.

Under coach Emmanuel Amuneke, Heartland has drawn one and lost one of their last two home matches, making the clash with Tornadoes a challenging one for the Owerri side.

Emmanuel, who previously played for Heartland, expressed optimism about securing a positive result in the game.

“The team is in a good place, and the technical crew and players have been working hard. I just want to do my part to help the team achieve its goals,” he said.

“We’ve won two away games already, and now we’re in Owerri, hoping to put in the required effort to get something from this match.”

Emmanuel emphasized the importance of preparation and teamwork, saying, “You can tell from our training that the team is cohesive. Everyone is working hard, and when given the chance to play, you must take the opportunity.”
