Nwankwo Kanu congratulates ex-boss Arsene Wenger for EPL Hall of Fame induction

Former Super Eagles star, Kanu Nwankwo has congratulated his former coach Arsene Wenger on his induction into the Premier League Hall of Fame.
The Premier League Hall of Fame was established to recognize and celebrate individuals, who have achieved exceptional success and contributed significantly to the League’s development since its inception in 1992.
On Wednesday, Premier League announced two of the greatest managers of all time, Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger have become the first inductees into the 2023 Premier League Hall of Fame.
The former Arsenal boss spent 22 seasons in charge of Arsenal, a record that remains unbroken to date and won three Premier League titles in his 22-year stay at the Emirates.
And Kanu, who played an important role in Wenger’s exploits in the Premier League took to social media to hail the Frenchman after the FIFA official was inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame.
“Kan U believe it. Richly deserved. Congratulations Arsene Wenger on your Premier League Hall of Fame induction.”
‘Papilo’ as he is fondly called registered 44 goals and 32 assists in 196 appearances for the North Londoners before he left the club in 2004.
The fan favourite is a member of the “Invincibles”, the Arsenal side that finished the 2003/04 season of the Premier League undefeated.
His finest moment came exactly 20 years ago when he scored a sensational hat-trick against Chelsea in the final 15 minutes of the match to grab an unlikely 3-2 win at the Stamford Bridge on October 23, 1999.
The two-time African Footballer of the Year would prove a valuable member of the Arsenal squad for six seasons, winning two Premier League titles and two FA Cups, the first of those as part of a domestic double in 2002.
