Onyeka set to return to England as Augsburg fails to launch talks with Brentford
By Dayo Awoniyi
Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka’s future remains uncertain as Bundesliga club Augsburg has yet to begin talks regarding a contract extension.
Onyeka joined Augsburg on loan from Premier League side Brentford during the winter transfer window and has delivered consistent performances throughout his spell in Germany.
Despite featuring in 28 matches for the Bundesliga outfit this season, Augsburg has not initiated any discussions with Brentford to make the move permanent.
With three years remaining on his contract with the London club, a return to Brentford this summer appears to be the most likely outcome.
Onyeka has been a key player for Augsburg, showcasing his skills and versatility on the pitch.
His performances have earned him praise from fans and coaches alike, leaving many to wonder if Augsburg will eventually make a move to sign him permanently.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Onyeka’s future hangs in the balance.
