Sadiq Umar laments painful Real Sociedad draw against Inter Milan

Real Sociedad striker, Sadiq Umar has lamented his side painful 1-1 draw against Inter Milan in the ongoing UEFA Champions League.

A late equalizer from Lautaro Martinez cancelled Braiz Mendez opener in the European club encounter.

Reacting to the result, the Super Eagles forward said he was disappointed with the late Inter goal, urging his teammates to shift focus on the next game after surrendering their lead against the Nerazzurri.

“We were winning 1-0 when I came in, but the last-minute goal which made it 1-1 pained me,” Sadiq told Oma Sports.

“Everything depends on the result. We just have to look forward to the next game. We did not lose today, we have one point, which is also good, but I feel so sorry because we could have gotten the three points.”

The La Real (The Royal) will square up against Getafe on September 24 2023.
