Serie A: Atalanta announces Ademola Lookman’s return date from injury

Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman is set to return to action before the end of February, Atalanta has confirmed.

The Super Eagles striker has been sidelined since January due to a knee injury sustained during a Serie A match.

Lookman has missed the last three games for La Dea across all competitions and will also be unavailable for Atalanta’s upcoming UEFA Champions League play-off clashes with Club Brugge.

However, the 27-year-old is expected to make his comeback for Atalanta’s Serie A match against Empoli on February 23, according to Transfermarkt.

So far this season, Lookman has been in impressive form, scoring 14 goals and providing 7 assists in 27 appearances across all competitions for Atalanta.
