Turkish Analyst urges Galatasaray to spend big on Victor Osimhen

By Monsurah Olatunji

Turkish football analyst Emre Bol has advised Galatasaray to invest heavily in securing the permanent signing of Victor Osimhen, arguing that the Nigerian striker is worth the high price tag Napoli are demanding.

Osimhen, currently on loan at the Turkish giants, has scored 31 goals this season and is playing a pivotal role in Galatasaray’s push for a domestic double.

Napoli are reportedly seeking €75 million for the 26-year-old in the upcoming summer transfer window, a fee that may put off several clubs, including Galatasaray.

However, Bol believes the club should prioritize keeping the Super Eagles star rather than spreading their resources thinly across multiple signings.

“Galatasaray spent around €50 million on mid-season transfers. Which ones worked? Lemina and Eren. Frankowski, maybe. Ahmed, Cuesta didn’t work,” Bol said in an interview published by GsGazette.

“Spend a little more money and give Osimhen €60–70 million so that you can have peace of mind in the attack,” he added.

Bol criticized Galatasaray’s recent recruitment strategy, questioning the logic behind frequent changes to a squad that, in his view, already has a solid foundation.

“It was not expected that such an inconsistent Fenerbahçe squad would become champions before Galatasaray. He [the coach] brought in Osimhen and made a difference,” he said.

With Osimhen attracting interest from other European clubs, Galatasaray face a difficult decision in the coming weeks as they assess whether to make a record-breaking move to retain their top scorer.
