2026 World Cup: I assembled the best team for Nigeria clash, says Zimbabwe coach

Zimbabwe head coach, Baltermar Brito says he has assembled the best players to face Nigeria in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Warriors called up a 28-man squad to face Rwanda on November 15 and the Super Eagles in the on November 19 and Brito has called up a team of talented players that will represent Zimbabwe in the World Cup qualifiers.
The gaffer disclosed that he took his time to extremely analyze the players individually before settling for them as he described them as valuable assets to the team.
“I’m happy with the team and I’m happy with my decision to assemble this talented group of players that will represent Zimbabwe in the world cup qualifiers,” Brito told Zimbabwe FA website.
“I did analysis on each one of them, they are exceptional players and are valuable assets to the team.”
The Super Eagles have defeated Zimbabwe on four occasions and drawn two in the last six meetings between both sides.
Whereas, the Warriors have only defeated Nigeria once which was a 2-0 victory in 1981.
