Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has confirmed that Nigerian winger Nathan Tella will be available for selection in Sunday’s Bundesliga clash against St. Pauli.
Tella was substituted at halftime during Leverkusen’s goalless draw with Union Berlin last weekend after experiencing dizziness.
The 25-year-old was later taken to the hospital for precautionary tests and returned to training during the week.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Alonso assured fans that the Super Eagles star has fully recovered and is ready to feature.
“Yes, there’s no problem with Nathan. He will be ready,” Alonso said.
“He looked bright during training sessions, and it’ll be good to see him adding more legs for us.”
Tella has made 22 league appearances for Die Werkself this season, scoring twice. His return provides a timely boost for Leverkusen as they continue their push for Bundesliga dominance.
