Tade Azeez: Former Nigeria Referees Association Chairman Dies

Alhaji Tade Azeez, who served two terms as Chairman of the Nigeria Referees Association (NRA), has died.
He passed away at the age of 63 after a short illness, bidding farewell to the world.
Tade Azeez also held the position of Vice-Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA).
Throughout his career, he contributed to several football committees and was dedicated to developing the sport across Nigeria and Africa.
He was respected for his sportsmanship and strong sense of integrity.
Starting as one of the best referees of his time, he later became a smart and dedicated football administrator.
He was the driving force behind Nigeria’s well-organized off-season tournament, the ValueJet Cup.
Tade Azeez will be remembered as a key figure who shaped Nigerian football.
His achievements, character, and service have left a lasting mark on Nigerian football history.
His work to improve refereeing standards and his contributions to LSFA and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will never be forgotten.
