Ademola Lookman: Nigerian striker up for Serie A Player of the Month award

Nigerian sensation Ademola Lookman, representing Atalanta in the Italian Serie A, has garnered a well-deserved nomination for the prestigious Player of the Month award for April.

The Super Eagles’ dynamic forward will contend for this honor among formidable competitors, including the likes of AS Roma’s Paulo Dybala, Inter Milan’s Hakan Calhanoglu, Lazio’s Luis Alberto, Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson, and Napoli’s Matteo Politano.

Lookman, aged 26, showcased his prowess throughout April, contributing significantly with one goal and three crucial assists. His assists came in matches against Monza (twice) and Cagliari, while he found the back of the net against Empoli in a thrilling encounter last weekend.

This season, Lookman has been a pivotal figure for Atalanta, amassing an impressive tally of nine goals and six assists in 27 league appearances, showcasing his versatility and impact on the pitch.

Currently, Atalanta is fiercely battling to secure a coveted spot in the UEFA Champions League, currently positioned in sixth place on the Serie A table, with Lookman’s contributions proving instrumental to their aspirations.
