Nigeria goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali has assured fans of a more better performance with the Super Eagles after a commanding display in the victory over Ivory Coast at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday

His clinical performance in 1-0 win over the hosts drew more attention and praises from pundits and elated Nwabali insists he won’t be carried away by accolades, while vowing to improve on his best after bagging first clean sheet.
“No, I’m not happy. I feel I should be doing more for my country, so I don’t feel it was a great game for me, or how my game usually is,” Nwabali told media.
“I’m happy for the team’s win, but my performance is unlike me. I want to play the ball more, be more confident, and enjoy myself.”
The former Enyimba shot-stopper will be eager to continue in his rich vein of form when the Super Eagles turn out against Guinea Bissau in their third and final match of Group A on Monday.
