Cyriel Dessers’ Europa League strike nominated for Rangers’ Goal of the Season award

Nigeria international, Cyriel Dessers’ strike in the Europa League have been nominated for Rangers goal of the season award.

The forward scored a fantastic goal in the Scottish club 3-2 victory over Real Betis in the Europa League back in December.

Dessers goal against Betis came in the 20th minute after receiving a pass from Jose Cifuentes before sending a delightful shot into the back of the net.

Skipper, James Tavernier and Abdallah Sima and Rabbi Matondo are the other players in contention with the Super Eagles star for the Rangers goal of the season award.

The 29 year old has found the back of the net 17 times this season across all competitions and also provided eight assists.

Rangers are second on the Scottish Premiership table with 74 points from 31 matches with a game in hand and will face Ross County in their next game on Sunday, April 14.
