Genk manager Wouter Vrancken gives positive updates on Tolu Arokodare’s injury

Wouter Vrancken, Genk manager has revealed that Tolu Arokodare’s injury is not as serious as earlier envisaged.
Arokodare was hobbled off in the first half of Genk’s Jupiler League 3-0 win against Oostende on Saturday.
The lanky striker replaced Paul Onuachu, who left for Southampton- as direct replacement in Genk’s attack at the end of January transfer window has been an instant hit for the Smurfs.
Arokodare was withdrawn from the match due to a knee injury but could not deny the hosts’ win but the injury will not require operation.
“Tolu had problems with his knee, but it would not be a cruciate ligament injury,” Vrancken was qouted by Voetbalnieuws.
“He indicated that he had problems. He had no experience with muscle injuries, so it was difficult for him to determine its limit.”
The Nigerian striker is anticipated to have a scan to determine the severity of the injury in the next few days.
