Liverpool great gives reasons Arsenal should sign Victor Osimhen

Former Liverpool defender, Steve Nicol has given Arsenal one major reason to sign Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen.

The Super Eagles’ forward is expected to leave Napoli this summer transfer window.

Osimhen has been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Nicol wants the Gunners to sign Osimhen because he doesn’t take too many chances to score a goal compared to Kai Havertz.

“If somebody said to you, you can either have [Kai] Havertz or [Victor] Osimhen. Are you really going to take Havertz?,” Nicol said in an interview with ESPN. 

“You are not going to take in a million years over Osimhen. So, if you can afford it, I agree with Shaka’s point.

“When it really matters and you have only one chance in a game, again the question is it going to be Havertz or Osimhen.

“Everybody will say he scored in the Champions League final but the truth is he takes too many chances to score that Osimhen won’t.”
