Mershack Ubochioma: Nigeria young prodigy sets ambitious target in Scotland

Nigeria youngster Mershack Ubochioma is optimistic of achieving success for Dundee United.

The forward joined the former Scottish Premiership champions from Hungarian side, Zalaegerszegi TE in the summer transfer window.

The 22 year old forward is excited to begin another chapter of his career in Scotland while narrating how the call from Dundee United changed the trajectory of his career.

Ubochioma prioritized scoring and providing assists for the club to prosper in the Scottish Premier League.

 “I’m so excited, it’s great to finally be here,” Ubochioma was quoted by Dundee United.

“I’ve always wanted to make the next step in my career and as soon as I got the call from Dundee United I knew this was my chance.

“Scoring and assisting as many as possible are my targets for the season ahead on a personal level, and as a collective we have goals to work towards which will need everyone on the team to contribute.”

The Nigeria youngster looks ahead towards his first goal for the club and the reactions from the fans.

”I just can’t wait for the moment I score my first goal at Tannadice – hopefully all the fans will be chanting my name!”
