Yemi Olanrewaju, Assistant Coach of Enyimba FC, has expressed admiration for the significant influence of George Finidi’s technical prowess on the club.

Serving as Finidi’s first assistant at the reigning champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Olanrewaju highlighted the valuable lessons he has learned from the former Real Betis winger, both in coaching and human resource management.

Currently standing in for Finidi, who is away on international duty with the Super Eagles, Olanrewaju led Enyimba to a commanding 3-1 victory over Niger Tornadoes.

He attributed their success to Finidi’s tactical ideology, noting that the team could have capitalized on more goal-scoring opportunities.

“Coach Finidi George has done an impressive job with Enyimba, the tactical setup we have been able to put together for the past two years has been good,” Olanrewaju told the club’s media.

“If the boys had taking the chances created earlier in the game we would have scored more goals. We move on from here and focus on our next game against Kwara United.”

Looking ahead, Olanrewaju emphasized the team’s focus on their next fixture against Kwara United as they aim to maintain their momentum in the league. Enyimba currently occupies the third position on the NPFL table with 45 points from 26 matches.
