Enyimba FC’s stand-in coach, Yemi Olanrewaju, attributed his team’s commanding 3-1 victory over Niger Tornadoes in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 26 to the unwavering support of the club’s fans.

The People’s Elephants delivered a stellar performance, particularly in the second half, securing three goals from Alade Balogun, Akanni Elijah, and Uche Collins, while Akintunde Azeez’s solitary strike served as a mere consolation for Niger Tornadoes.

Olanrewaju, filling in for Finidi George who was on national assignment with the Super Eagles, praised the team’s determination and impressive performance, expressing belief that they could have scored even more goals.

In dedicating the victory to Enyimba fans worldwide, Olanrewaju acknowledged the loyal support during the team’s challenging times and called for continued encouragement to achieve their season’s objectives.

“It was an important 3-1 victory against Niger Tornadoes, although we could have scored more,” Olanrewaju conveyed to the club’s media post-match.

“I believe we will perform even better next time. This win is for Enyimba fans all over the world. Our focus now shifts to the next game.”

Currently occupying the third position in the NPFL log with 45 points from 26 matches, Enyimba will face Kwara United as guests in their upcoming match slated for Sunday in Ilorin.
