Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers has set his sights on scoring even more goals this season after netting the match-winning goal in Rangers’ 1-0 victory over Hearts on Sunday.

The 29-year-old forward, who bagged 21 goals across all competitions last season, is eager to continue his impressive run in the Scottish Premiership and contribute even more to Rangers’ quest for success in the current campaign.

“Obviously, it’s always nice to score at Ibrox, just to see the ball in the net,” Dessers told Premier Sports after the match.

“I think it was a good moment for us to score to go ahead, and 10 goals, like you say, it’s a nice number. I’m happy to get there already now, but I want more.”

Dessers’ hunger for goals has been evident in his performances since joining Rangers, and with a growing tally, the Nigerian international is aiming to surpass his previous record and help the club achieve greatness this season.

His decisive strike against Hearts, which came at a crucial moment, earned Rangers all three points, further showcasing his importance to the team.

As he looks forward to more opportunities to find the back of the net, Dessers remains focused on pushing his limits and making a bigger impact in the Scottish Premiership.
