David Okereke’s second-half strike helped Gaziantep secure a 1-0 victory over Kayserispor in a Turkish Super Lig encounter on Saturday.
The Nigerian striker scored the match-winning goal in the 52nd minute, which proved to be enough for the hosts to claim all three points.
Okereke, who is on loan from Italian Serie B side Cremonense, was substituted in the 82nd minute after a solid performance.
The 27-year-old has now netted seven goals and provided two assists in 21 league appearances this season. His goal against Kayserispor marked his second in the last three matches for Gaziantep.
The win extends Gaziantep’s strong form, with the team now on a three-match winning streak and lifted Gaziantep to sixth place in the league standings.
They will look to continue their momentum when they travel to face Konyaspor in their next fixture.
