Unification star Patience Friday reflects on NWFL Championship experience

Unification Ladies playmaker Patience Friday shared her reflections on her debut season in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship.
Known for her dynamic presence in midfield and her ability to deliver precise, defense-splitting passes, Friday was a standout performer for her team.
Friday expressed her satisfaction with her Championship experience, stressing the significant impact it had on her development as a player. Her standout moment came when she scored a brace in a match against Papa Soccer Angels, marking her first goals of the competition.
Describing her Championship journey as both exciting and impactful, Friday acknowledged the high level of intensity and competitiveness in the league.
“I can describe my experience as an exciting journey in the NWFL Championship. It has been an impactful experience for me which I really cherish,” Friday said n an exclusive interview with nigeriafootball.ng.
“Scoring two goals against Papa Soccer Angels was a major highlight. These were my first goals of the competition, and I worked hard for them. I’m grateful for the support of my teammates.”
Friday also reflected on the lessons learned during the season, particularly in terms of improving her connection with her teammates and understanding the dynamics of high-level competition.
“I’ve learned a lot and recognized areas where I need to improve. Working on connecting better with my teammates on the pitch has been a crucial lesson,” she added.
Unification Ladies concluded their Championship campaign with a commendable performance, securing seven points from four matches and proving their critics wrong with their impressive showing.
