Karim Adeyemi agent confirms Manchester United snub

Karim Adeyemi has turned down a transfer to Manchester United in favor of joining Borussia Dortmund this summer, according to his agent.

The 20-year-old is reportedly closing in on a €38 million (£32.5 million) transfer to Dortmund, with just his contract and papers remaining to be signed before the deal can be completed.

Man United is said to have attempted to hijack Dortmund’s agreement for Adeyemi, offering £150,000 per week to the Germany international.

However, the player’s agent, Thomas Solomon, has since confirmed to journalist Fabrizio Romano that the forward has snubbed a move to Old Trafford, stating: “We’re now close to complete the deal with Borussia Dortmund. There will be no release clause included into his five-year deal.

“[Ralf] Rangnick? Yes, Manchester United wanted to enter the race – but we want BVB”.

Adeyemi is due to take over at the Westfalenstadion from Erling Braut Haaland, who is close to completing his move to Manchester City.

This season, Adeyemi has been a star player for the Austrian champions, scoring 23 goals and assisting eight times in 42 games across all competitions.
