Nigeria international goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye has completed a move to Greek Super League club FC Volos on a two-year deal.
The 24-year-old signed with the Greek outfit following the end of his contract with Cypriot top-tier side Enosis Neon Paralimni, where he made 30 league appearances last season and recorded double-digit clean sheets.
Adeleye, who previously played in Israel for Hapoel Katamon and Hapoel Jerusalem between 2019 and 2024, brings solid European experience to Volos, who finished 11th in the Greek top flight last season.
The shot-stopper has earned a single cap with Nigeria’s Super Eagles and was part of the national team setup before being dropped from the squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
Adeleye’s move is seen as a fresh opportunity to re-establish himself at club level and potentially earn a recall to the national team setup.
