Paris 2024: Four Nigeria players set for senior international debuts against Ethiopia

Four Nigeria players are set to make their debut for the senior national team against Ethiopia in the Paris 2024 Women Africa Cup Of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier in Addis Ababa.
The Super Falcons will begin their road to the next Women’s Olympic tournament in Paris, against Lucy at the Abebe Bikila Stadium.
UDG Tenerife playmaker, Rinsola Babajide, Bayelsa Queens goalkeeper, Monle Oyono, Edo Queens defender, Comfort Folorunsho and Robo Queens forward, Opeyemi Ajakaye have just been called up to the Super Falcons side for the first time in their career.
Babajide joined Tenerife from rivals Real Betis in the 2023 summer and she has hit the ground running with some impressive performance in the Spanish Liga F.
Prosperity Girls shot stopper, Monle have shown great reflexes to keep her side in good form last season and also her skills ensured Bayelsa Queens retained the Nigeria’s Federation Cup.
Folorunsho and Ajakaye led the Nigeria U17 side to win bronze at the U17 FIFA Women’s World Cup in India last year, they followed up with their superlative performance in the NWFL Premiership.
Ajakaye won the golden boot award at the Wafu B U20 Women’s tournament in Kumasi, Ghana with the team also starring Folorunsho at the defense. The Falcons finished in fourth position at the previous WAFCON.
