Enyimba striker Edidiong Enobong Ezekiel says sentiment will take a back seat when his side hosts Remo Stars F.C. in a crucial Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 36 fixture this Sunday in Aba.
The forward, who previously featured for the Sky Blue Stars during the 2022/23 campaign, acknowledged his fond memories of the club but insists his full commitment now lies with Enyimba F.C..
“I have beautiful memories of my time at Remo Stars and I am looking forward to playing against them this weekend,” Edidiong said. “I feel a bit emotional regarding the memories I had with them, but right now the pride of the People’s Elephant is my priority.”
The former Akwa United F.C. striker is confident Enyimba can secure maximum points against the newly crowned NPFL champions.
“I want to call on the esteemed fans of Enyimba to turn up in their numbers and support us as we go for a non-negotiable three points,” he added.
Edidiong has been a regular figure for Enyimba this season, making 28 league appearances, scoring four goals, and contributing one assist as the Aba giants push to finish strongly.
