AFCON 2023: Joseph Yobo hails ‘excellent’ Ademola Lookman’s game mentality

Former Nigeria captain, Joseph Yobo has commended Ademola Lookman for his exceptional performances at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Atalanta forward has been putting up a scintillating display at the ongoing tournament with his goal that saw Nigeria defeated Angola by a lone goal in the quarterfinal clash on Friday.
Yobo expressed delight with the former Everton winger who has come good for the country with match winning goals with Victor Osimhen struggling to convert his own scoring chances.
“I am happy for Lookman at this tournament because he has been getting us the goals,” the former Everton man told media.
“This is his third goal in AFCON and I love the way he handled each game. His combination with Osimhen has been great.”
Nigeria will still be counting on Lookman and hope he deliver more winning performances when they take on either Cape Verde or South Africa in the semifinal on Wednesday.
