Nigeria defender Ola Aina has had his 30 yard finish for Nottingham Forest against Aston Villa nominated for the club’s goal of the month award, nigeriafootball.ng reports.
Aina has been an integral member of the Truly1 Tree this campaign since his arrival from Serie A side, Torino.
The Super Eagles’ right back scored the goal that inspired Nottingham to a 2-1 win over Villa in November.
He will have to contend with Anthony Elanga’s goal against West Ham as well as goals from Ateef Konate and Jack Thompson against Wolves and Accrington Stanley respectively.
Forest midfielder Niamh Reynolds’ goal against Sheffield FC is also up for nomination.
